2021- Sunnies for Sarcoma 1st Recipient!

When we started this fundraiser, we hoped to sell at least 100 sunflower plants. To our surprise we sold 300 sunflower seedlings!  We donated $400 to Tiffany.  Tiffany is fighting MPNST Sarcoma (Malignant Peripheral Nerve Sheath Tumor). She underwent surgery to remove the tumor. 

With the help from a donation from Walmart we were able to donate $1000 to Jessica.  Jessica was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in 2020 it has thrown multiple curveballs over the years, but she still radiates positivity over it all. 

For 2023 we split the amount of $1500 between the following individuals:

Jessica, our 2022 recipient, a relative of ours, and a close family friend that were diagnosed with cancer in 2023. 

Summer 2024, Sunnies connected with local communities at the French Hen Market, Plainfield Farmer's Market, and at the Valpo Popcorn Fest.  The sunflower sales and grants from Walmart Foundation, allowed us to make our largest donation, $3,000 to a pediatric Rhabdomyosarcoma warrior in Plainfield, IL.
